citizenM New York Times Square

We absolutely loved citizen M. The check in and out was quick and easy. The rooms were just as pictured: clean and well appointed. We travel light so space was not an issue for us. We loved having coffee in the morning in the lobby, which felt like the living room of a cool designer. The designer pieces and decor is very hip and modern. The staff is super friendly. We highly recommend Citizen M at Times Square. If you're sensitive to noise and due to the location, consider earplugs.

A bit pricey for me and a few issues with the elevator during my stay, but otherwise perfect. Room is small, but Im one person. The adjustability of the blinds and lighting was pretty cool. Everything was modern and very clean. Also the first hotel Ive stayed in that actually provided hand soap and not just hand lotion, as well as a little mini fridge opposed to a “mini-bar” with $$ drinks in them. I also liked the self check-in/out and the view.

I loved staying here. Location was perfect, easy to walk anywhere you need to be. Subway entrances at all corners of the block. Room was very clean, everything except the fridge worked. And it was really quiet during my stay. Beds were comfy and loved the roof top bar, the bartender was friendly and the views were perfect. Would 100% stay here again. Staff was also really helpful and kind

Incredible hotel. This was my third stay here and I will not hesitate to book again. Excellent location. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. They have blackout blinds and you can easily control the lighting, heating, etc from an iPad. The waterfall showers are also wonderful. Can't recommend enough!

This rating completely surprised me. I don’t like to stay in this part of town and typically don’t choose this type of hotel but the location worked for where I needed to be and overall I was very pleasantly surprised. Rooms are small but extremely well appointed. You have everything you need, including a mini fridge and quite generous closet space. The only drawback and it can be a big one, if two people are staying in a room, the beds are up against the back wall so one person needs to climb in and out. Not ideal for sure and if staying multiple nights might br an issue but for one night manageable. Im thinking this is a new addition to the Marriott group. The collaboration space is lovely and check in is somewhat automated but easy. Bathroom is very small but functional and the shower has nice pressure. Overall for the price if you want to stay in this part of town it’s a good option.

The citizenM hotel always has nice locations. I stayed at this one while I was visiting New York, and it was amazing. The room is small and compact, but there is still a decent amount of space. All features are controlled on an iPad, including ambient lighting. The staff were very nice and generous enough to give me a higher-level room for the view. The only downside is that there are only two elevators and a lot of people use them, which can cause delays and waiting periods. The location is very close to Times Square, about a 6-8 minute walk. It is also near Din Tai Fung, as well as close to subway entrances.

Clean, updated, and beautiful hotel in the heart of the city within walking distance to anything and everything. The rooftop bar has the most AMAZING views, and the bartenders make fantastic cocktails to enjoy alongside the scenery. The subway station is literally next door so you can navigate some of the lengthier distances through the city with ease. Noise levels are surprisingly low, beds are comfortable, and the rooms are well equipped. I'm really not sure there is anything bad to say about this hotel! I'd stay here again in heartbeat and would recommend that anyone given the opportunity to stay here do so without hesitation. Thanks so much, Citizen M! I'm relieved to find that even after the buyout, CitizenM offers a consistent experience. (Though CitizenM's signature decor such as the rag doll and balloon dog were missing from my room, sorry to say.) The rooms are a weird blend of premium and minimalist - you get the bare essentials in good quality, no more and no less. Comfortable bed and linens, a sink with soap and lotion, a shower with shower gel and conditioner, a toilet, a (VERY small) fridge, a hair dryer, a tv and remote, a desk with pen and notepad, a seat, a very deep under-bed drawer, a closet with hangers, trash and recycling receptacles. And the room control tablet. You will not find any means of heating up food or making a hot drink, nor even utensils for takeout or a drinking glass to enjoy New York's excellent tap water. Skipping the amenities allows the hotel to offer a great location at a surprising price, so if you're very prepared (or willing to walk to CVS around the corner) and just need a place to sleep, shower, and keep your stuff, this is a good place to crash close to all the action.
